“Follow the money: No Labels can’t hide its right-wing ties”
“No Labels insists it isn’t a Republican front group. But it won’t reveal its donors despite complaints about the lack of transparency… One of the donors “provided a big chunk of political cash to Donald Trump” … We are left to ponder: Would No Labels be doing anything differently if it were a front group for Republicans out to sink Biden? – Washington Post

No Labels associated with Republican-aligned outfits
No Labels is associated with some significant Republican-aligned outfits reported Mother Jones’s David Corn. Its online fundraising is run by Anedot, which handles the cash for right-wing organizations such as: – Washington Post
– “Focus on the Family, the Susan B. Anthony List (a prominent foe of reproductive rights)
– The Thomas More Society (a conservative Catholic group that supported Trump’s election deniers)
– The Reformed Theological Seminary (which is ‘committed to the Bible as God’s inerrant Word’)
– The International Alliance for Christian Education
Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Matt Gaetz
On its Anedot Direct page, the firm promotes a “Conservative List” of organizations and candidates who can receive contributions directly through this service. The roster includes 205 entities, including 46 state GOP committees, Sen. Tim Scott’s and Nikki Haley’s presidential campaigns, 109 House Republican members (including Reps. Jim Jordan, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and Matt Gaetz), 37 GOP senators (including Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell, Tom Cotton, Marco Rubio, and Rand Paul), and 11 organizations (including Turning Point USA, Moms for America, the National Association for Gun Rights, and the National Republican Congressional Committee). – Mother Jones

Threat to American democracy
Prominent allies of No Labels in the past, including New York Times columnist David Brooks and Brookings Institution policy scholar William Galston, have called foul and withdrawn their support.
“Trump changes the equation. A second Trump presidency represents an unprecedented threat to our democracy. In my view, our sole focus should be to defeat Trump. This is not the time to be running risky experiments like NO LABELS, the outcomes of which none of us can foresee.
Finally, if America wants a relative moderate who is eager to do bipartisan deal making, it already has one. In fact, he’s already sitting in the Oval Office. Joe Biden doesn’t get sufficient credit, but he has negotiated a bunch of deals on infrastructure, the CHIPS Act, guns, the debt limit. As long as Biden is running, we don’t need a third option.” – David Brooks in the NY Times
TakeAway: Don’t waste your vote on a dark money funded, third party campaign. Vote for President Biden to protect American democracy.
