Wednesday, January 10 is the opening day in the 2024 Virginia General Assembly. We are very excited to visit the new General Assembly Office Building and stop in and see our legislators. The Virginia Grassroots has been working hard in our issue groups, detailing our priorities, talking to legislators, and getting ready to lobby and make Calls to Action as our issues groups watch our priority legislation. We will also be hosting the Annual Virginia Grassroots Coalition Press Conference on the Friday Power Lunch, which has a new sign up link.
I’ve listed the lobby days & activities in Richmond (and the our working groups) – if you find others you would like us to support, please let me know. Please try to drop in to Women are in the House Happy Hour! 5:00 – 7:30pm, Jan. 10 at the Richmond Marriott’s Fall Line Kitchen & Bar.
One last thing: Calls to Action (CTA) to our legislators will be coming. We can make a big impact if we all participate – and it’s so easy. Please prepare yourselves to help with the CTA’s and forward this newsletter to friends in Virginia to SUBSCRIBE.
