Central Valley Matters Talk and Fundraiser: December 6, 5pm on Zoom

A huge thank you to the 45 people who attended Indivisible Yolo’s in person fundraiser on Saturday, December 2 to support community-based organizations in CA-13 (North) and CA-22 (South) Central Valley districts. We learned about the importance of investing now in the voters who will decide the 2024 election. We also learned that fundraising is political activism, and we can grow our movement of smart giving when we talk to our friends and family and encourage them to donate now to the community-based organizations identified below. The California races are key to flipping the House and ensuring democracy in our country continues.
We have raised over $7,000 and are still looking forward to final totals after the Central Valley Matters Zoom fundraiser on December 6 at 5 pm.
For anyone who couldn’t make the Indivisible Yolo fundraiser, there’s still an opportunity to make a donation via ActBlue to either or both of these organizations:
| DONATE: Communities for a New California Action Fund: Let’s flip CA-13 |
| DONATE: In the Struggle Together – Land, Water, & People of the Central Valley |
Update on Woodland Recall of Trustee MacDonald
We have an update on the Woodland effort to recall school board trustee MacDonald, from the recall campaign!
“With immense help from the community and Indivisible Yolo, we were able to turn in over 1,300 signatures to the office of election and they certified our recall which is set to appear on the March 5th presidential primary ballot. If you live in WJUSD Trustee Area 2 please remember to vote YES on the recall question.
We are still working on firm plans for when we will next need volunteers and we will be sure to get those details out asap soon as they are formed up. For now we are about to gear up on fundraising to help pay for mailers and yard signs. If you are able to donate we have an ActBlue account that can be found here:”
Meet the Candidates series
The road to the House majority runs through California
We have the power, right here in California, to take the Speaker’s gavel out of GOP hands by mobilizing grassroots volunteers statewide. We can do the work to sweep six key seats—five flips and one hold—and stop destructive MAGA stunts. Our state can put Congress back on the path to governing.
The MEET THE CANDIDATE interviews are the first events co-hosted by the brand new California Grassroots Alliance, formed to offer Indivisible and other grassroots volunteers focused six-district strategy, effective tools, and fresh intel. Following each lively 45-minute candidate interview, Indivisible Sonoma County’s Tom Benthin will facilitate a wide-ranging participant discussion about the target district, the candidates, and the election outlook for re-taking the House via California victories.
Bring a friend, list your questions, and get ready to activate!

IY to Form a Research Team for 2024 Elections
Indivisible Yolo is working every angle to help win CA House Districts in 2024, and we’re looking for people to help on election-year research projects.
We’ll start by helping complete the Blue Voter Guide for California, focusing on the critical Central Valley districts that are essential to regaining control of the House. The Blue Voter Guide is a very popular tool. Voters insert their address and get to see their exact ballot along with endorsing organizations. Young voters, especially, do not like voting blindly and are very appreciative to get this information. When we register students on college campuses, we are able to show them the Blue Voter Guide.
Volunteers are needed to make sure the Blue Voter Guide has information on all races in all jurisdictions. Research can be done on your own time and schedule, there is no minimum commitment. Optional team get togethers will be held to discuss progress and introduce new research projects.
Email indivisibleyolo@gmail.com if you are interested in the 2024 Research Team.
