Our 2023 victory happened as a result of the collaborative effort of many organizations. We will chat about the power of working together Art in activism is explored and celebrated this week! We will discuss the intersection of art and activism.
Heather Williams (Interim Director, Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), the official Democratic committee focused on state legislative races) will talk to us about the work of the DLCC in Virginia’s 2023 election.
Ken Grossinger, leading strategist in movements for social and economic justice for 35 years has documented these acts of art and organizing in his new book Art Works: How Organizers and Artists Are Creating a Better World Together). Ken will share some of the examples in his book and tell us how art has been and can be a force for social change.
