Call your Member of Congress and demand a ceasefire
Please read the above statement from Indivisible.org calling for a ceasefire and the letter from Members of Congress laying out crucial steps to protect civilians, and then please call your Member of Congress. (Our Members of Congress did not sign the letter.)
Example script (your own words are best!):
I am appalled and angry about Hamas’s attacks on Israel. I also do not support the targeting of civilians and commission of war crimes in response. I’m asking [Sen. Padilla/Sen. Butler/Rep. Thompson/Rep. Matsui] to please sign the letter by Reps. Schakowsky, Pocan, Jayapal, and McGovern urging the protection of innocent civilian lives, and to call for a ceasefire to save lives in Gaza, so hostages can be safely released, to establish a humanitarian corridor so that aid can get into Gaza, and to avert regional escalation.
Contact only your own Representative (Rep. Mike Thompson or Rep. Doris Matsui)

Final week: call for volunteers for the Recall MacDonald campaign in Woodland!
Indivisible Yolo members, we have more info from the Recall MacDonald campaign!
“The Recall MacDonald campaign will be filing the recall petitions at the end of this week. We still need help though to get enough extra signatures to be able to file and KNOW we have a nice cushion of signatures above the required number so that ALL of this hard work will not be wasted if a few signatures don’t match (it could literally come down to not having one or two extra signatures that don’t match the voter rolls precisely).
We need YOU more than ever to step up in these last few days before Friday afternoon to help us collect more signatures. We canvass every day but have found Tuesday and Wednesday are the days we find the most people home during the week. We added a special canvassing time for during the day on Tuesday (if the specific time on the calendar doesn’t work go ahead and sign up and then email us your availability at info@recallmacdonald.com). Every single signature collected from this point on can make this a success so even an hour of your time is critical. If you have availability during the day on a weekday please also reach out as we have a small group of people who have been finding a lot of success at all times of day canvassing.
Thank you for all the support up until now, we are SO close to our goal to feel like we can comfortably file, just 200 signatures more needed! Keep showing up or show up for the first time! Bring a friend, or make a new friend.”

Online phonebanks for Virginia- Sundays and Mondays
Sister District Yolo is running online phonebanks on Sundays from 2-4 pm PST and Mondays from 2-4 pm PST to call voters in Virginia. We talk to a real voter using an online script.
Virginia is the last state in the South with access to abortion. Voting rights, gun safety, climate solutions, and LGBTQ rights are also on the line.
Training is always available for first-timers or volunteers who need a refresher course. Your host will be Rebekka, Kelly, Amy, or Betsy, who will get you up and running quickly.
RSVP to receive Zoom information.
Meet the Candidates- California Grassroots Alliance
The road to the House majority runs through California.
We have the power, right here in California, to take the Speaker’s gavel out of GOP hands by mobilizing grassroots volunteers statewide. We can do the work to sweep six key seats—five flips and one hold—and stop destructive MAGA stunts. Our state can put Congress back on the path to governing.
The MEET THE CANDIDATE interviews are the first events co-hosted by the brand new California Grassroots Alliance, formed to support Indivisible and other grassroots volunteers with focused strategy, effective tools, and fresh intel. Following each lively 45-minute candidate interview, Indivisible Sonoma County’s Tom Benthin will facilitate a wide-ranging participant discussion about the target district, the candidates, and the election outlook for re-taking the House via California victories.
Bring a friend, list your questions, and get ready to activate!
