Starting this week: Postcarding Parties for Ohio’s abortion rights vote!

Join us in Woodland, Davis, and West Sacramento for postcarding with friends! We’ll be meeting at a member’s home and writing postcards to Ohio voters urging support for reproductive rights in the November 2023 election. Abortion rights remain at the top of many voters’ issues and will be key to a blue trifecta in 2024. Another win for abortion rights in a red state (remember Kansas?) will demonstrate strong, enduring support among a wide swath of America. What better way to set the tone for 2024?

The address will be sent after registration the day before the event.

Postcards, stamps and writing supplies will be provided, as well as refreshments.

RSVP for Postcarding in Woodland Tuesday, Oct. 3, 4-6 pm
RSVP for Postcarding in Davis Sunday, Oct. 8, 11 am-1 pm
RSVP for Postcarding in West Sac Wednesday, Oct. 11, 4-6 pm

Online phonebanks for Virginia- Sundays and Mondays

Sister District Yolo is running online phonebanks on Sundays from 2-4 pm PST and Mondays from 2-4 pm PST to call voters in Virginia. We talk to a real voter using an online script.

Virginia is the last state in the South with access to abortion. Voting rights, gun safety, climate solutions, and LGBTQ rights are also on the line.

Training is always available for first-timers or volunteers who need a refresher course. Your host will be Rebekka, Kelly, Amy, or Betsy, who will get you up and running quickly.

Register to receive Zoom information.

Saturday October 7- Indivisible Yolo at the Davis Farmers Market

Indivisible Yolo was at the Davis Farmer’s Market last Saturday to register voters and introduce people to the many events we have planned for this fall. We were fortunate to have UCD student members of the Davis College Democratic Club join us as the first of hopefully many future collaborative efforts. Please stop by next week, Saturday October 7, when we’ll be at the Farmer’s Market again!

Meet the Candidates- California Grassroots Alliance

The road to the House majority runs through California.

We have the power, right here in California, to take the Speaker’s gavel out of GOP hands by mobilizing grassroots volunteers statewide. We can do the work to sweep six key seats—five flips and one hold—and stop destructive MAGA stunts. Our state can put Congress back on the path to governing.

The MEET THE CANDIDATE interviews are the first events co-hosted by the brand new California Grassroots Alliance, formed to support Indivisible and other grassroots volunteers with focused strategy, effective tools, and fresh intel. Following each lively 45-minute candidate interview, Indivisible Sonoma County’s Tom Benthin will facilitate a wide-ranging participant discussion about the target district, the candidates, and the election outlook for re-taking the House via California victories.

Bring a friend, list your questions, and get ready to activate!
