While Democrats in Missouri and across the country are fighting to expand your freedoms and make progress for working families, this is what Republicans are doing:

This is ridiculous, and it’s another reason why we need to work as hard as we can to elect Democrats across our state next year. From the state house to the governor’s mansion to the U.S. Senate, we need to fire every extreme Republican who wants to burn books and turn back the clock on our freedoms.
We can’t sit back and watch Republicans continue to control Missouri this way.
Most recently, Most recently, Candidate Bill Eigel, R-Weldon, who’s running for governor, said he would burn books on the lawn of the governor’s mansion if voters elect him.

According to the Saint Louis Post-Dispatch article, Eigel faces Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe and Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft in the August 2024 GOP primary.
House Minority Leader Crystal Quade, a Springfield Democrat and also a candidate for governor, lashed out at Eigel on Monday: “Bill Eigel and his extremist allies’ idea of campaigning for governor is using a flamethrower to burn whatever he doesn’t agree with,” Quade said in a statement.
“We deserve a government that’s going to work to solve real problems, not make political stunts,” Quade said.

Cross-union solidarity can turn up the heat on the Big 3 to end tiers and make green jobs good jobs. It can also boost strikers’ morale and build connections that endure for years to come.
Chairman Carnahan visited with UAW workers on strike at the Wentzville plant.
Thanks to Dan Kandlbinder of UAW for sharing our message that the Democratic leaders and the public are in strong support.
