This past week we launched our #TakeBackFL tour. Beginning in DeLand, we were greeted with a packed room of Volusia County Democrats ready to take back our state. Over 100 Democrats showed up early in the morning to hear about all the work we are doing to deliver victories for Democrats in 2024. In Orlando, I hosted a press conference laying out the month-long tour schedule that will take us all over our state. I was honored to be joined by Congressman Maxwell Frost, State Reps. Anna Eskamani and LaVon Bracy Davis, State Senate candidate Carlos Guillermo Smith, and Orange-Osceola County State Attorney Monique Worrell. We also had a stop in House District 35 which will host a special election early next year. Over 150 Democrats gathered to hear from our Candidates for the seat and commit to knocking doors and making phone calls for our Democratic nominee. We ended the first week of the tour in Longwood where the Seminole County Democrats hosted a fabulous event. Seminole County stands as a pivotal battleground where we must win seats to climb out of a super-minority in the Florida House. We heard from two rising stars in the Party, Sarah Henry and Nate Douglas who are running in competitive House Districts in Central Florida. We had an amazing week one and look forward to visiting Miami Gardens, Miami, West Palm Beach, and Port St. Lucie for week two of the tour!
Forward,
Nikki Fried

FDP Voter Registration Guidance
Effective July 1, 2023, SB 7050 makes a number of changes to Florida Voter Registration laws.
As of July 1, all DECs, Clubs, Caucuses, and affiliated organizations must stop using FDP’s 3P number.
No volunteers or party leaders are currently authorized to be agents of the FDP 3P number, and this authorization will not be extended to volunteers.
To continue registering voters, FDP recommends use of electronic devices to register voters through the online application – which requires no receipt, protects volunteers from penalties of missing the deadline, and no applicant information is retained.
If a DEC, Club, or Caucus continues to operate with a 3P, they must register for their own number with the state Division of Elections.
Ballot Petitions
Floridians Protecting Freedom launched a citizen-led ballot initiative campaign to give Florida voters the chance to ensure that their personal medical decisions are theirs and theirs alone to make. Volunteers can sign up to help and also sign up for training at the FPF page linked here.
Many DECs and Caucuses are also carrying the Florida Right to Clean Water petition as they knock on doors and talk to voters. We encourage all of our DECs to carry both of these petitions.
FDP will be supporting this effort and we have added both petitions to our petitions page. We are urging all of our DECs, Clubs, and Caucuses to collect signatures for both of these ballot measures.
