The Indivisible Georgia Coalition has a new voter registration interface! What does that mean?
- It means you can update your voter registration with any name changes or address changes.
- It means you can register your friends, family, as well as any 17.5 year old persons you know. Everyone will need a state issued ID.
- It means you and your friends can register for election updates, voter education information.
- It also means that you will periodically receive a prompt to check your voter registration status.
The purging of voter rolls is not always a clean, no mistake process. People who should not be removed are too frequently removed. That’s why you and everyone you know should check your voter registration status. You can do so by going to tinyurl.com/ballotreadyIGC Please share with everyone you know in Georgia. If you find someone who is struggling with their voter registration help them find and contact their county board of elections for assistance.
What do we do with the data?
- We check to make sure your voter registration has been accepted. The state does not contact you to let you know if there’s a problem that needs correcting; we will let you know if we see a problem.
- We will email or text you on occasion to let you know that an election is forthcoming, forward non-partisan voter guides, and offer some civic education information (did you know we have a public service commission race this fall? Do you know what the public service commission does?).
- We do not share or sell your information with any other entities.
We hope you’ll give the interface a try and share widely. Your vote is important. This is one step in protecting it.
