Celebrating 58 Years of Medicare
The Medicare and Medicaid Act was signed into law on July 30, 1965, guaranteeing access to health care for millions of Americans. Decades later, the GOP continues to attack these foundational programs that seniors, families, and people with disabilities rely on. Use these images to combat misinformation and show that healthcare is a human right.

“Summer of Solidarity” Launched in Partnership with LA vs Hate
Taskforce has partnered with LA vs Hate to launch “Summer of Solidarity” – a campaign of monthly art-led events across Los Angeles County that utilize culture and connection to address the root of hate and division. These events include mural unveilings, dance nights, and music performances aimed to celebrate community connection and promote harmony in our neighborhoods. Events are hosted through LA County parks, libraries, and beaches to bring people from different communities together, promote unity, and spread awareness for the anti-hate resources LA vs Hate has to offer. An upcoming mural unveiling in Bixby Park will celebrate the strength of the LGBTQ+ community in the area. Designed by Myisha Arellano, the mural will focus on the unique memories and moments that embody LGBTQ+ culture in Long Beach. Following the talks and mural unveiling, residents can enjoy food trucks, a book truck selling children’s LGBTQ-themed books, an ice cream truck, and the opportunity to speak with members from LA vs Hate.
