Volunteer to Support the Senate District 42 Special Election
Join the Charleston County Democratic Party to reach voters in the State Senate District 42 Special Election. There will be a Democratic Primary on September 5, Runoff (if necessary) on September 19, and General Election on November 7. This district is critical for our party, and its Senator will be a leading voice for Charleston County at the State House.
The Charleston County Democratic Party is focused on a strong Democratic turnout in our Primary (and runoff if necessary), and a resounding victory for Charleston County’s new Democratic Senator in November. Organizing this District now will also help us win other elections over the coming year.
Please sign up for one or more volunteer shifts. Each shift will include options for phone calling, texting, and/or canvassing. Also, anyone who signs up for a shift will be offered tickets to our Volunteer Appreciation Night at the Charleston Riverdogs on August 29.
Senate District 42 Democratic Primary Candidate Forum Aug. 17!
The Charleston County Democratic Party is committed to providing access for our voters to meet all of our great candidates. We have three strong Democrats currently running in the Special Election for State Senate District 42. The Democratic Primary will be on September 5, with an early voting period from August 21 – September 1. We will host a forum at 6:30pm on August 17, which will also serve as our August Monthly Meeting. All three Democratic Candidates have been invited – you can read more about them here:

Come meet all three in-person and hear what they have to say about representing District 42, Charleston County’s largest Democratic held legislative seat! This event will be in the North Area with an exact location to be announced in the coming weeks.
Volunteer Appreciation Night at the Riverdogs Aug. 29!
Join your fellow Charleston County Democratic Party Volunteers for a night of fun at the Charleston Riverdogs on Tuesday August 29th. We’ll have a dedicated (covered & shaded) space to mingle and watch America’s Pastime.
The best part? Tickets, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Soft Drinks are on the Democratic Party! To get a ticket, you just have to sign up for at least one volunteer shift in the Senate District 42 Special election.
