Commemorating Memorial Day
Today, May 29, 2023, we gather to honor the loyalty and bravery of those who lost their lives while serving in the military. We hold their sacrifice in the highest esteem as it has secured the cherished freedom we enjoy today. It is important to remember that we owe our existence to those who have fought for this country since its inception.
As we celebrate the blessings of liberty this weekend, I urge you to observe the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 pm, a minute dedicated to remembering the fallen soldiers who served this country with honor and distinction. Many of these servicemen and women may be unfamiliar, but we must never forget their bravery and selflessness.
While this day is traditionally devoted to honoring the courage of those who died in combat, we must also pay tribute to those who served during times of peace. We appreciate your service, courage, bravery, and sacrifice and are eternally grateful for your unwavering commitment to our country.
