Greet the Lt. Gov, Judicial Actions & Clean Rivers

 Citizens for a Democratic Judiciary

Please take action on the nomination of a NY Supreme Court judge. In NY, Supreme Court judges are trial court judges elected on party lines after nomination by judicial delegates. Justice Charles Wood is a sitting Supreme Court judge seeking the Democratic Party’s endorsement. Elected as a Republican in 2009, he became a Democrat in 2019 after Westchester became solidly blue.

Judges’ decisions have a lasting impact on legislation and issues including abortion rights, gun safety, civil rights, racial justice, workers’ rights, the environment, and voting laws. Wood has made troubling rulings – from siding with Project Veritas and censoring The New York Times to denying sexual assault victims the right to privacy. We need judges who align with our Democratic values.

ACTION: Join the growing list of people who have signed the letter HERE asking the Westchester County Democratic Committee to nominate two of the other 19 qualified Democratic judges running for the Supreme Court.
