Knit Democracy Together: Art & Social Action, Sun April 16, 3-4:30 pm, Moretown Memorial Library. Artist and former election lawyer Eve Jacobs-Carnahan will introduce you to artists who inspired her to create the Knit Democracy Together project. She will illustrate how this domestic handcraft moved into the public sphere to address large societal issues. The Fight against MAGA Media, Wed April 26, 12-1 pm via zoom. Does Fox disinformation drive you crazy? Do the lies of the MAGA-verse make you nuts? Disinformation is a pervasive problem that threatens the 2024 elections and the future of our democracy. Guests Dan Pfeiffer (Battling the Big Lie, Pod Save America) and Tara McGowan (Courier Newsroom) will introduce you to a number of smart media projects designed to combat disinformation and reach voters most likely to succumb to falsehoods.
