Indivisible spotlights 18 UNREPRESENTATIVE REPUBLICAN REPS

18 Republicans won districts in the midterms that Joe Biden won in 2020.

“They don’t represent the voters of their district. And for the next two years, Indivisible plans to hold them accountable for their extremism.

This handful of representatives ensured that MAGA extremism would claim power in Congress. They stood by as Kevin McCarthy cut deals with extremists. They’ve empowered Marjorie Taylor Greene and her MAGA allies. Some ran as moderates. Some refused to talk to voters. And one straight-up lied about his resume and identity entirely. But they all have one thing in common: they’ve been voting in lockstep with the MAGA majority even though their constituents oppose MAGA extremism.

They’ve attacked abortion rights and threatened essential programs like Social Security and Medicare.” – Indivisible

Unrepresentative

They claimed they were interested in bipartisanship and delivering for voters. We know they’re anything but. They’ve stood by as Kevin McCarthy cut deals with extremists. They’ve empowered Marjorie Taylor Green and her MAGA allies. They’ve attacked abortion rights and threatened essential programs like Social Security and Medicare. Despite everything they want you to believe, they don’t represent their districts. They represent a MAGA minority in Congress that threatens our democracy as we know it. They are the Unrepresentatives. – Indivisible

George Santos lies about everything

You can run but you cannot hide

“Last November, Republicans took control of the House of Representatives and currently hold a narrow 10-seat margin. 18 of the races that they won were in districts that President Biden carried in 2022. For the most part, these 18 Republicans ran as moderates — claiming they were interested in bipartisanship and delivering for voters. They knew it was the only way they’d win in their otherwise Democratically-leaning districts.

“Right now, the Unrepresentatives are flying under the radar intentionally to avoid being associated with MAGA’s dangerous vision for America and the worst actors of their own party. But the truth is they’re enabling them every single day. To win, we’ve got to make them famous locally for their complicity at every opportunity and bring more people over to our side.”

To expose the Unrepresentatives, it’s going to take a massive amount of accountability work, national tools and infrastructure, creative awareness-building tactics, and grassroots organizing on the ground.
