Today is the two-year anniversary of the attack on the U.S. Capitol to prevent a peaceful transfer of power. There are a number of online activities that both acknowledge this shameful attack and discuss how we move forward as a nation to guarantee the future of our democracy.
We’ve also been invited to use any of these images on our social media.

There are call/email actions and other activities as well, so get ready for a busy Friday and weekend!

Friday – 01/06/2023 – ONLINE – “January 6th Tele-Town Hall”(4:00 – 6:00pm PST)

A Tele-town Hall Rally and Meeting Commemorating the 2nd Anniversary of the Attack on the U.S. Capitol Broadcast on Facebook Live Facebook.com/TJC.DC
This January 6 marks the second anniversary of the insurrection. January 6 was a dark day in America. The bipartisan January 6th Select Committee has shown that Trump and his MAGA allies planned, promoted, and paid for a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election they knew they’d lost.
Even though some of the most prominent election conspiracists lost their midterms, they are already looking to 2024 for ways to overturn the will of voters. They are working to sabotage future elections by changing state laws, threatening state officials and packing election administration offices so that they can have the final say over election results – even when they lose.
We cannot be complacent and are calling for an end to the ongoing violent and criminal attacks on our freedoms. We must protect our elections by protecting voters, election officials, and a free and fair process.

ACTIONS TO TAKE TODAY!
EMERGENCY! Wall Street’s privatization of Medicare at our expense is starting now!

The GOP ended 2022 with threats to hold debt ceiling legislation hostage in order to savage Social Security and other safety-net programs.
However, the destruction of Medicare is already taking place, off-stage, with corporate entities lining up at the trough of the poisonous ACO-REACH program. Tell Biden to executive order this out of existence and make sure your legislators know you are wise to this threat.
The GOP clown-car-to-nowhere wants to remove the brakes.

For those who don’t remember what it was like having a GOP-controlled House – this should bring it all back.
Call your legislators – on both sides, and tell them that gutting ethical oversight is not an option.
