Donald Trump’s actions on January 6, 2021, were criminal.
We understood this as we watched him incite an armed mob to attack our nation’s Capitol. And yesterday, the bipartisan January 6 Committee agreed when they referred Trump to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution.
Now that the criminal prosecution is in the hands of the Justice Department, it is our job to do all we can here at home to defeat the extremists that buy into his MAGA worldview, especially candidates like Josh Hawley. We know 2024 may seem far away, but now is the time to make sure we have the resources we’ll need to win.
Putting an end to far-right extremists and electing more Democrats in Missouri depends on the Missouri Democratic Party and supporters like you. That means investing in our Party, building our county parties, fostering relationships with community organizations, supporting our legislators in Jefferson City as they fight for us during the 2023 Legislative Session, and providing municipal candidates with training and resources. That work starts now.
