Americans have short memories – most have probably forgotten the hellish bills the last GOP House kept passing. But if our Democratic legislators don’t use their power to raise or eliminate the debt ceiling while they still can, the GOP will put safety net programs, like Social Security and Medicare, on the chopping block. Because they can.
(We’ve also added a note to send Biden to use his influence to get this done.)

There is never enough profit for America’s oligarchs. Thanks to their greed and that of their pet GOP legislators, income inequality has surpassed that of the Gilded Age before the Great Depression, while the lives of the rest of us grow more unstable, with basics like food, energy and healthcare increasingly unaffordable.
Now they want more tax cuts, reducing their fair share of contributions to our county’s infrastructure and the systems and programs that the rest of us depend on. We who work at Swap Meet Justice, our citizenship and social justice fair, know how long and hard people work for the right to speak out in our elections as full American citizens.
What message does it send to every American, brand-new or native-born, that such an essential right can be cheated away by something as minor as a date or signature missing?

Postcarding #1:
The POSTCARD BRIGADE has already sent out over 7000 cards for Warnock and is getting ready for more. Studies have shown that receiving a colorful postcard with a short punchy message is the most effective way to persuade a voter to get to the polls.
One of Indivisible Ventura’s members is working with Postcards to Swing States (PSS) to coordinate GOTV postcarding focused on Senate races in swing states. PSS identifies the campaigns, writes the message, and provides the voter names and addresses.
