Friday Power Lunch: ROE UP #PinkTheVoteFriday, October 14, NOON ET
On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade resulting in devastating abortion bans in at least 14 states. Just days later, Governor Youngkin told an online forum that he would “happily and gleefully” sign any abortion bill that comes to his desk. Make no mistake about it, freedom to make our own reproductive choices and thus control our own destiny is on the ballot this November.

And yet, there is hope. Public opinion is on our side with most Americans supporting legal abortion. The recent victory in Kansas, safeguarding abortion, reveals that we can fight back and win. This week’s Friday Power Lunch is all about how we can #PINKtheVote from now until the election to bring momentum and attention to what is at stake this election.

Ashley All, former Communications Director for Kansas for Constitutional Freedom, will kick off our #PINKtheVote discussion by telling us how Kansas gave hope to the nation by successfully fighting back an effort to strip the right to abortion from the state constitution.

Feeling nervous? Feeling anxious about the election? We’re going to provide a countdown of 25 Actions for the Final 25 Days. Get ready to play #PINKtheVote Bingo.

We will end the show with a conversation with Deepak Puri, Co-Founder of Democracy Labs, a hub for ongoing technology and creative innovation that serves campaigns and organizations at the national, state, and local levels. Deepak will share with us his thoughts and research on tech tools that activists can use in identifying and energizing voters.
