Steve Phillips, National Political Expert, New York Times bestseller author of Brown Is the New White and the soon to be released How We Win the Civil War: Securing a Multiracial Democracy and Ending White Supremacy for Good, founder of Democracy in Color, a the political media organization dedicated to race, and politics, and host of the podcast Democracy in Color with Steve Phillips, will explain hisNew Majority Index that uses two key data points missing from most political analysis—racial diversity and voter turnout rates of racial groups—to show that racial identity is one of the most salient and predictive data points indicating political behavior and its importance now.
