Moving Forward, Together

Hello!
We’ve had a busy summer here in Okaloosa County, and we’re looking forward to much more as we move into the August Primary and then the big November election!
First off, I’d like to take a moment and share some thoughts on the string of decisions handed down by the Extreme Court; in particular, the Dobbs decision which overturned 50 years of precedent related to Roe v. Wade.
Citizens in Okaloosa share outrage at this travesty, and have staged several spontaneous protests to show the anger we all feel. These have been tremendous events, with an unparalleled level of energy.

As we practice our First Amendment rights to express our outrage, it is important that we use this energy towards turning out the vote. The Florida Senate race is of vital importance to ensure we gain the necessary seats in the U.S. Senate so we can codify the rights of women that were protected for 50 years under Roe. Likewise, it is extremely important that we elect a Democratic governor to ensure these rights stay protected here in Florida, as guaranteed under our state Constitution.
I would urge everyone to visit our website and check out our Candidate Roundup page. We provide a brief summary of each candidate that will be on the August ballot, as well as links to their individual websites to learn even more.

We have started our canvassing and phone bank programs to reach as many voters as we can so that our energy IS turned into action at the polls. Please visit our Mobilize America link and find a canvass or phone bank that best suits you. Help us get out the vote here in Okaloosa County!
