OCDP: Women’s Rights Committee

Monday, June 6th (5:30pm – 6:30pm)

Please join the Oakland County Democratic Party Women’s committee and four guest speakers on Monday, June 6th to discuss women’s rights and the upcoming Supreme Court decision that may overturn Roe v. Wade. Our guest speakers will be offering diverse perspectives on reproductive justice and we hope you will bring yours! Register and share:  The Fight for Women’s Rights Mobilize

OCDP: African American Committee Meeting

Thursday, June 9th (6:00pm – 7:00pm)

Join newly elected Chairwoman Alexandria J. Hughes at this month’s African American Committee meeting. We aim to ensure that more African American candidates are part of the political process in Oakland County, and work towards greater participation from African Americans in the OCDP through training, supporting African American Rights groups and identifying ways the OCDP can improve its representation. West Bloomfield Dems Club: Juneteenth 

Saturday, June 18th (10am – 2pm)

Join West Bloomfield in Commemorating National Freedom Day by volunteering or simply stopping by. A free, fun, family-friendly event. Juneteenth honors the day the final enslaved people were emancipated in June 1865 and celebrates the countless contributions of African Americans to our community & nation. Music, arts, performances, refreshments, vendors and storytelling. Kids area, African Dance, WBHS Jazz Band, and more. Find more information at juneteenthWB.org! Volunteers are welcome and can sign up at signup.com/go/soumjOu. Students can receive community service hours.
