Public School Funding Day of Action
On May 24th, advocates will be coming to Harrisburg, making phone calls to their legislators from home, and posting on social media to demonstrate strong public support for Governor Wolf’s funding proposal to provide a $1.75 billion increase in funding for our public schools.
Instead of investing in our children, some lawmakers want to hoard billions of dollars in surplus cash in Harrisburg or give it away to special interests and continue to impose austerity on our public schools. They are happy to force property tax increases, cuts in programs and services for students, and yet another year of grossly inadequate resources in our schools.
