Calling all 2020 Pinellas Carders! We’re baaaack!

Calling all 2020 Pinellas Carders! We’re baaaack! Much is at stake: a US Senator, the governor and more.

We need you back! The struggle for democracy around the world takes many forms. Here in Florida, getting every democrat to vote is our fight.

Our campaigns will be covid-safe, stamp optional and targeted to new dems, dems who don’t vote by mail and dems who haven’t voted.

To join the campaign, you must right click on the link below and left click on the “Go To Link” box that pops up. Please fill out the whole form so we can better target our campaigns. More details will follow– but you need to sign up again to be in the group.

Pulitzer Prize Winning Cartoonist Mark Fiore

Registration is requested by April 17.

Mark Fiore is an American political cartoonist specializing in Flash-animated editorial cartoons. The Wall Street Journal called him “the undisputed guru of the form.” His cartoons have appeared in numerous American newspapers and online publications. Previously a staff cartoonist for the San Jose Mercury News, he left newspapers for animated online comics in 2001. Fiore is a member of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists.

The American Library Association’s Booklist review called Fiore’s cartoons a standout for their “unique and personal” vision. Over the years Fiore has received numerous awards including a Pulitzer Prize (the first ever for his genre of editorial cartoons). The Pulitzer Prize committee stated: “His biting wit, extensive research and ability to distill complex issues set a high standard for an emerging form of commentary.” His winning work appears on SFGate.com, the San Francisco Chronicle web site, and his website: markfiore.com.

Join The Clearwater NAACP Get Out The Vote Campaign

From the NAACP Clearwater Upper Pinellas County

Help us end voter suppression now by donating to the Get Out the Vote Campaign. Increased voter participation in the 2022 elections is critical. This campaign will target both registered voters who have not voted in recent elections and unregistered voters.

To cross barriers of mistrust, funds are needed to hire Black and Latino young adults who will door knock. They will provide, in English and Spanish, information on voting deadlines and voting options, such as how to vote by mail and early voting site locations.

Unregistered voters will be assisted with the voter registration process.

Join The Pinellas County Democratic Party Voter Registration Team

From The Pinellas County Democratic Party:

We have 288 days until the General Election on November 8, 2022. This election will decide if Ron DeSantis continues his authoritarian rule over the citizens of the State of Florida and if he will run for president from a place of power as a second term governor of a state with the third highest number of Electoral votes in the nation. DeSantis must be stopped.

Republicans are still ahead in the number of registered voters and the numbers keep climbing. The gap has widened and they are currently 1411 registered voters ahead of us. We must do better. There are three ways you can help.

  1. Sign up for our “Closing The Gap” Voter Registration Team.
  2. Sign up for voter registration training.
  3. Contribute to our victory fund.

The Voter Registration Team will use a variety of methods to encourage citizens to take the first step in exercising their right to vote. Please consider joining others who have already stepped up to help.
