Colin Powell, the retired four-star general who served as the nation’s first Black secretary of state, was remembered Friday as a beloved colleague, devoted family man and a fierce and fearless leader during a private funeral at the Washington National Cathedral.A group of QAnon believers gathered in Dallas to await the arrival of John F. Kennedy, Jr. The crowd believed that Kennedy, who died in a plane crash 22 years ago and who was the son of the former president, (and incidentally, a Democrat) would reappear to announce that former President Donald Trump actually won the last presidential election. He never arrived.Ahmaud Arbery,25, was killed on Feb. 23, 2020 while running in the Satilla Shores neighborhood in what his family calls a modern-day lynching. As the trial starts, civil rights attorneys and other lawyers slammed the nearly all-white jury selected in the trial of Arbery’s alleged killers after the judge in the case said there appeared to be “intentional discrimination” at play.
