Understanding St Petersburg’s Charter Amendments

7PM – 9PM
Every ten years the City of St Petersburg appoints a commission to review and amend the city charter. The Informed Voter Series Seminar on October 12 is designed to explain both the review process and the amendments that will appear on the ballot during the November General Election.
The virtual session is scheduled for 7:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 12. It will be in a Zoom Webinar format moderated by Kyandra Darling. Although it is sponsored by the Pinellas Democratic Party, this seminar is essentially nonpartisan and open to anyone who is interested in the subject.
The session is designed to focus on instruction rather than advocacy and will include elected officials and members of the Charter Review Commission. Participants may submit questions to panelists and we will answer as many as time permits.
The panelists are Mayor Rick Kriseman, Council Woman Amy Foster, Council Woman Deborah Figgs Sanders, Review Commissioner Terri Lipsey Scott, Review Commissioner Roxanne Fixen, and Review Commissioner J.C Prichett III.
The citizens of St Petersburg will be impacted by changes in the city charter for the next decade. It’s important that we are informed voters when we cast our ballots.
This is a Pinellas County Democratic Party event.
