SEPTEMBER COUNTY MEETING

We will hold our monthly Executive Committee meeting next Thursday (9/30) at North Charleston City Hall, in the Council Chambers, at 6:30 PM. As has been discussed in previous newsletters, we will hold our election for our 1st Vice Chair vacancy. As a reminder, the 1st Vice Chair must be of a gender other than that of the Chair. We will also accept nominations from the floor.

As we did last meeting, we will also vote in some new precinct officers. We will provide further details on what else will be featured at the meeting in next week’s newsletter.

For those of you who are not yet vaccinated or do not feel comfortable meeting in person, we will have a Zoom link that you can receive through RSVPing via Mobilize. Those who attend the meeting in person are asked to please wear face masks due to the ongoing pandemic.

Please RSVP for the meeting through the button below.

COVID-19 VACCINE

As we continue to see case numbers and hospitalizations rise in South Carolina and across the country, we want to do everything we can to protect our communities. Therefore, we want to ensure that we provide resources to help people who have not already been vaccinated against COVID-19 to find a nearby place to get the vaccine, which you can do through the button below.

Please note: CCDP is sponsoring a free vaccine clinic this Saturday, September 25th, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the CCDP Office.

We cannot stress enough that we must not give up the fight against the virus. And getting vaccinated is a vital part of that fight!

READY TO RUN FOR OFFICE? If you are interested in making a difference in your community, please take time to consider running for office. The South Carolina Democratic Party has put out a form for individuals to express interest in running. You may think that it is too early to start thinking about this, but electoral success will require carefully laid out plans, which in turn require time. In addition to the SCDP information that you can access through the button below, here are more resources for women considering a run for office:

Please consider donating the following items so we can continue to support this amazing project!
