9 September 2021
Back To School …
… and there is a LOT to get done in September.
– Fed Government funding authority expires on September 30th.
– We have a debt limit fight coming up as well.
– The deadline for action on the House infrastructure bill? September 27th.
– Which means the Senate has to get behind $3.5T of spending.
– Votes on filibuster / voting rights / abortion rights?
– Hurricane Ida / Unemployment Insurance extension / Eviction aid?
– And that January 6th Select Committee?
At The State Level
– Fighting Voter Suppression bills being advanced by veto-proof petition.
– We still have a law on the MI books outlawing abortion, if the Fed law falls.
The weather will start to get cooler, but the news will remain hot and heavy.
The bus is full. Buckle up, the roads haven’t been fixed yet.
