“Marco Rubio began this year promising Floridians that he was focused on his job in the Senate. Now that he’s chasing his failed dream of becoming president during a public health crisis in his state, he owes Floridians some answers about why he’s abandoning them to score political points with Iowa politicians,” said Florida Democratic Party spokesperson Grant Fox.
As Rubio returns from Iowa, Floridians deserve his answers on the following questions:
- Will you commit to serving a full third term?
- Do you still hate your job in the Senate?
- Now that you’ve done more fundraisers in Iowa this month than public health events in Florida, will you commit to holding a public event encouraging Floridians to get vaccinated?
