Late Summer.
The frantic news of the world never stops, but the season invites us to slow down. The last of summer’s heat, the slow rise of soon-to-be-autumn mists in the fields, kids heading back to school or preparing to, time for those last vacations before the cooler fall weather hastens our steps.
As Democrats, we have another critical year ahead of us in 2022. Statewide elections for Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State. With non-partisan redistricting, a better chance to take back the State House and State Senate. County and city elections. Chelsea has City Council and Mayoral elections this fall.
One thing is certain. We can’t let up in the coming year.
But the season is asking us to recharge before we charge ahead. To catch our breath, to refresh ourselves for what’s coming. If we can find a way to do so now, what we can achieve together later will be better for it.
No newsletter next week, we’ll be taking our own advice.
