Why Emergency Powers Matter

As Gov. Tom Wolf issued emergency statewide mask mandates and social distancing measures, PA Republicans went off science-denying deep end. They refused to wear masks even as lawmakers tested positive, and impeded COVID-19 relief.

Now, PA Republicans are now trying to strip the Governor of all emergency powers through a constitutional amendment on the May primary ballot.

If passed, this measure will kneecap our ability to stop pandemics. And weakening PA’s COVID-19 response threatens Americans nationwide.

Turn PA Blue is a field organizing powerhouse, making millions of calls and writing millions of postcards. And we’re fighting to STOP this Republican scheme to undo our progress on COVID-19.

We know that organizing WORKS.
After losing election lawsuits, Republicans tried to put a constitutional amendment to gerrymander our courts on the May ballot.
But their scheme failed after thousands of activists (including TPAB supporters like you) flooded their legislators with calls and letters.

Constitutional amendments are arcane — but with your support, we’ll have millions of conversations with voters to educate them and urge them to vote NO.
