We knew this was coming the moment the 2020 elections were called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
The nonpartisan Brennan Center reports that in state legislatures across the nation, more than 165 bills have been filed to restrict voting rights – that’s more than four times as many efforts to suppress voting as we saw last year!
But Democrats aren’t taking this fight laying down. In response to the GOP bills – and the ongoing pandemic, and longtime GOP voting rights abuses, and the Big Lie that led to Trump’s January 6th insurrection – pro-voting-rights legislators have filed more than 500 bills to EXPAND voting access instead!
