Okaloosa Democrats Endorse Two Candidates
for Fort Walton Beach City Council

Meet Sonya Vazquez and Debra “Debi” Riley! They are running, along with 10 other candidates, for 3 seats on the Fort Walton Beach City Council. Each voter will be able to vote for up to three candidates in the March 9th election.

We are reaching out our core supporters to ask them to support these candidates. Flipping Florida Blue requires building a bench of Democratic office holders who can eventually run for County Commission and the Florida State House. This is a long-term strategy that begins with electing Democrats to local city councils. And because city councils have such a large impact on our daily quality of life, electing leaders at the LOCAL level who share our goals and values will have a strong positive impact on our communities.

This is a non-partisan race. Candidates do not declare a party.
We can still help the Democrats who are running!

If you live in Fort Walton Beach, please make sure you vote for these candidates in the March 9th election. Early voting will take place Monday, March 1st through Friday, March 5th from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM at the County Administrative Building (1250 Eglin Pkwy, Shalimar). If you have friends or family who live in Fort Walton Beach, please share this information and encourage them to vote.
