Hi Indivisibles,

It’s a new day. It’s a new dawn, and it’s a new era in Indivisible advocacy. Through hard but exhilarating work, we took back the White House, held the House, and took the Senate (Thank you, Stacey Abrams!). Now we must use that precious Democratic trifecta to enact positive change that all Americans can feel. Our window is short. We’ve got two years with this Congress and much of what is possible will be determined in the next 100 days. Indivisibles everywhere are poised to push their members of Congress for bold, swift action to unrig our democracy and to lay the foundation for policies that meaningfully improve people’s lives. Indivisible Yolo intends to do our part.

We encourage you to join us Monday, January 25th at 7pm as we introduce the new Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Fixing our Democracy and lay out our priorities for the first 100 days of the Biden-Harris administration. Spoiler alert: Our top priority is strengthening our democracy and each of us exercising our constituent power is the key to success.

Trust us when we say the new guide is as inspiring as the original Indivisible Guide that sparked this movement in the dark days of late 2016, and we can’t wait to put it into action with you. At Monday’s meeting, we’ll share our plans for a new six-week study and action series: Fixing our Democracy Action Hour, an opportunity for us to continue to build community, skills, and organizing power.

You worked hard for this victory, for this wave of relief, for a day to celebrate, and for renewed hope. Now let’s bring it home with legislation that strengthens our democracy and lays the foundation for the policies that will make us a more just nation and a more perfect union. We hope you’ll join us this Monday.

In solidarity,
The Indivisible Yolo Team
