Hi everyone!

It’s Tuesday, and three states (PA, MI, & GA) have certified their election results and handed their electors over to Biden. This gives him an intermediate score of 285 electoral votes, 15 points north than the minimum 270 necessary to send Trump packing. It’s all over but the betting pool on when Trump sneaks out of the White House for the last time.

So we’re moving on.

First – Today and tomorrow, we have our last chances to help ballot cure for Christy Smith and TJ Cox. YES! IT IS THAT CLOSE!!!

Christy Smith door knocking:

Santa Clarita – (https://www.mobilize.us/grassrootsdemocratslahq/event/362637/)Palmdale – (https://www.mobilize.us/grassrootsdemocratslahq/event/362611/)Simi Valley – (https://www.mobilize.us/grassrootsdemocratslahq/event/362687/)

TJ Cox: Phonebanking –

Next! Who gets to take over Kamala Harris’ Senate seat?

There are lots of great choices who could do us proud, but Harris’ leaving takes away the voice of the only Black woman in the Senate. Not that the field is deep with other groups either, but when she leaves, we’re down to zero. No hard decision here and we have a bounty of well-qualified candidates. We agree with the conclusions of the California Democratic Party Black Caucus and ask everyone to CALL OR EMAIL NEWSOM to choose between Reps. Barbara Lee and Karen Bass. Post with suggested scripts here: (https://indivisibleventura.org/2020/11/24/tues-11-24-gov-newsom-do-the-right-thing/)

NEXT and always – Georgia!

We keep adding to the volunteer phone/textbanking opportunities here. (tinyurl.com/Antirascist-events-Ventura)

For those amazing Eng/Spa biligual volunteers, here’s a list of phonebanks that need your skills. (https://www.mobilize.us/mijentepac/)
For those who like to write postcards and letters, go here for the latest opportunities.(https://indivisibleventura.org/2020/11/09/georgia-on-your-mind-write-gotv-postcards-to-their-voters/)

Last – closest to home…

We’ve added a “Want Ad” post for those who need help and those who can give it – here. (https://indivisibleventura.org/2020/11/23/giving-and-receiving-during-this-pandemic-season/)

Today, there are new additions for blankets for field workers, purses filled with necessities for homeless women and a notice for a Dec. 12th food and toy drive.
