Record-breaking early voting in U.S. election tops 80 million
More than 80 million Americans have cast ballots in the U.S. presidential election, according to a tally from the U.S. Elections Project at the University of Florida, setting the stage for the highest participation rate in over a century.

Many counties that hosted Trump rallies had a significant increase in Covid-19 cases
An investigation looking at 17 Trump campaign rallies found that 14 of the host counties — 82% of them — had an increased rate of new Covid-19 cases one month after the rally.

Stephen Miller Threatens ‘Expanded’ Travel Ban if Trump Wins
Miller, gave a rare interview to NBC News ahead of Election Day and his message was simple: Vote Trump and he’ll make life even harder for immigrants in the next four years. He said one priority would be “building on and expanding the framework that we’ve created with the travel ban.” Closing down immigration has never made this country, it has historically made it weaker and less competitive. We are all immigrants and wouldn’t be here without our ancestors leaving everything behind in hopes of a better life.

Don’t Sweat the Polls
“I’m still so afraid that 2016 is going to happen again and Trump is going to win.” National polls misread results at the state level in 2016, underestimated Barack Obama’s support by about three points in 2012, and underestimatingTrump’s support by more than five points in 2016, the largest error so far this century. The most important reason, according to a postmortem from the American Association for Public Opinion Research, was that state polls undercounted non-college-educated voters, who turned out in droves for Trump. 2020 polls have apparently adjusted for these errors, but we are still in the fight.
