THE WEEK IN REVIEW

Get Yours Before They’re Gone!

Grab the most in-demand commodity in the entire state before they’re gone! Pick up your yard signs now!

Thank You to Everyone Who Made Truman Dinner a Success!

This year, we had 12 speakers, over 250 donors and sponsors, and 200 supporters tune in live to hear from Sen. Cory Booker, Nicole Galloway, and Democrats from all across the state! We are so incredibly grateful to all those who gave their time and money – we could not have a robust, year-round presence without you!

Attention, Lawyers! We Need You to Protect the Vote!

Show Me Change and the Missouri Democratic Party are recruiting 500 lawyers to ensure voters are protected on Election Day! Volunteers will be assigned to observe polls on Election Day and are expected to volunteer for the entire day. You will receive training from our Voter Protection Team prior to your shift. We are looking for problem-solving, collaborative people who are registered to vote in the state of Missouri. Sign up here and share widely!

Voting Info – Get Your Slate Card, Register to Vote, & Request An Absentee Ballot!

Head over to www.showmevotes.com to register to vote, request an absentee ballot, and get your slate card! Our tools allow you to do all 3 in one stop. Or you can send folks directly to make their vote plan, see all their candidates up and down the ballot, and request an absentee ballot here – https://app.showmechange.civicengine.com/ – check it out!

You Can Volunteer Every Day of the Week!

We’re hitting the pavement, the phones, and the keyboard to make sure we win every single vote possible across the state. But we rely on committed folks like you to join us in lit dropping, calling, and texting these targeted voters. If we work together, soon we’ll be “Governor Galloway.” We’ve got 45 days – let’s get to work!

Show Off Your Politics With Pride!

You can wear your support, drink out of it, or put it on your wall –– each way, you’re helping Democrats while doing it. Check out the MDP merch store!

First Gubernatorial Debate set for Friday, Sept. 25th!

We’re excited for the upcoming gubernatorial forum where Nicole Galloway will share her vision for Missouri on stage with the Republican, Libertarian, and Green Party candidates. The forum will be broadcast live at 2PM on KOMU-8 in Columbia as well as online. Livestream details will be shared as soon as they’re available, so be sure to mark your calendars now!

Only A Couple More Stops on the Rural Town Hall Series

Join us for the final two stops on the Rural Town Hall series and submit your question for our Democratic candidates! These town halls will be broadcast live on the MDP Facebook page.

4th Congressional District, 9/23, 7:00 PM
8th Congressional District, 9/30, 7:00 PM

RSVP and submit your questions for our candidates at www.MissouriDemocrats.org/events!

Welcome TJ Menges, our New Data Manager!

Our newest addition to the team, TJ Menges, has joined us as Data Manager as of yesterday! He began working in politics in Kansas on numerous State House and Senate campaigns.  Since moving back to Missouri in 2014, he has worked as Field Director for Cleaver for Congress, as well as on a variety of other candidate, ballot initiative, and issue campaigns in the greater Kansas City area. He attended UMKC and the UCM, studying music, and still actively performs throughout the region. We’re excited to have him on the team!

Fine Tune Your Skills at Home

The Team Blue Pipeline Program (TBPP) seeks to provide professional development and training opportunities on a continuing basis to Democratic staff, volunteers, activists, and candidates. TBPP webinars occur bi-weekly on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m. CST, unless otherwise stated. Sign up below!

Send in your Reorganization Forms!

If you are an officer for a county, legislative, senatorial, or congressional district committee, and you haven’t sent in your reorganization form yet, please send it to TLogan@missouridems.org! As a reminder, judicial committees have until Saturday 9/19 to reorganize. After you reorganize, don’t forget to submit your form too!

Submit an Event!

Are you a Democratic club, county committee, or allied group that’s hosting an event? Let us know so we can publicize it on our website. A sense of community is even more important these days as we’re staying home and not gathering together in person. Submit your event here!

Are You an Official Member?

If you’re not already a bonafide member of the Missouri Democratic Party, make it official today! Let’s show our strength in numbers to the GOP – become a member!

IMPORTANT DATES & EVENTS

It’s crunch time – thank you for your hard work! And remember to #MaskUpMO!

The Missouri Democratic Party holds the distinction of being the oldest political party in the United States established west of the Mississippi River. For the last century, we’ve led the fight for working families. Today, we’re organizing in communities across Missouri to protect and build on our progress.
