Numerous studies have linked the catastrophic wildfires, which have been ravaging the West Coast for nearly a month, to global warming from the burning of coal, oil and gas.

Most swing-state voters give Trump poor marks on keeping Americans safe, CNBC/Change Research poll finds

In Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, 48% of likely voters said they approve of the job the president is doing on keeping communities safe, and another 52% said they disapprove. Most voters did NOT blame Trump directly for an increase in violence during his tenure.

As the U.S. edges toward 200,000 deaths from the COVID-19, reports of White House appointees suppressing or meddling with the release of public health reports, which included stopping the publication of a report on the use of hydroxychloroquine, delaying a 10-state study of COVID-19 infection statistics in June and another on the spread of coronavirus at a Georgia sleep-away camp, have members of the scientific community outraged.

VAWA at 26: Women Unite for Progress

On Monday, September 14, Women for Biden will host a national event with Jill Biden to commemorate the 26th anniversary of the enactment of the Violence Against Women Act, which falls on September 13. The event, titled “VAWA at 26: Women Unite in Progress,” will focus on the importance of the Violence Against Women Act and why we need to renew and strengthen it, especially in light of increased gender-based violence during this pandemic.

The event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Symone Sanders with four advocates: North Dakota Rep. Ruth Buffalo, Tracey Vitchers, Melissa Bryant, and Karma Cottman.
