It’s Monday, and along with our list of actions, there are two very influential civil rights organizations having events today to which we’ve invited to participate.
The Moral Majority is bringing together poor and low-income people and allies who will learn about voter power, engagement, registration and protection and how to organize our communities to defend the vote.
Presidential candidate Joe Biden will be directly addressing our agenda, and we will be joined by leading civil rights attorneys Caitlin Swain and Sherrilyn Ifill from Forward Justice and NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the PPC coordinating committees in 43 states and other civic, religious and social justice organizations as well as cultural activists Erika Alexander, Mark Ruffalo, Jane Fonda and Charlamagne tha God. (Trump was also invited, he didn’t respond.)
Don’t miss it, tune in at vote.poorpeoplescampaign.org
This event will be fully closed-captioned and translated into ASL and Spanish. For those without internet access or who prefer to listen by audio the dial-in # is +1.888.958.7272 / Code: 623298415

The NAACP is having their national convention this week and today’s topic is “Mass Incarceration, Black People, Power and Politics”. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYgbRI7c920)Post: tinyurl.com/Antiracist-events-Ventura
