LOVE THY NEIGHBOR – A Moral Imperative
Some of you were present last Friday and witnessed an unprecedented presentation of aggression during a scheduled Black Lives Matter demonstration.
We were saddened by this event at the Prescott Courthouse Plaza and by the ever more frequent displays of racism and bigotry in our community. We stand with all our neighbors and recognize the imperative of “treating others as we ourselves would like to be treated.”
A group of concerned citizens created a call for civility and understanding which we will place as a full-page ad in the Prescott Daily Courier and other local papers in the next week or so.
We join our friends at Prescott Indivisible and AREA-P and humbly request you read the text of the ad by clicking on the link in blue below and indicate whether or not you agree. We request that if you agree to say so publicly and add your name to the list of 1,000 we are attempting to acquire. The 1000 signatures will be added to an ad in the newspapers featuring an open letter to our community entitled Love Thy Neighbor – A Moral Imperative.
Read and please add your name here:
