What’re we doing for Democratic wins in November? Lots!
We have received many emails and calls this past month from folks wondering what we’re doing to ensure a Democratic victory in November. We understand that many of you are feeling isolated and frustrated with the restriction the COVID crisis has put on normal campaign and election work.
We want to assure you that we are working tirelessly to get out the vote, register people to vote and provide the same election information we’ve always done in the past, with the hard-eyed determination and focus this election requires.
Last year was a great year! Thanks to many of you who so generously contributed in 2019, we are able to implement a robust voter-outreach strategy. This includes phone-banking and texting to over 125,000 voters in Yavapai County, direct mailings reaching over 60,000 targeted voters, and the Arizona Democratic Party mailed over 450,000 Permanent Early Voter List forms (PEVL) to voters across the state. This alone resulted in a record-breaking 91 percent early-ballot turnout in the primary! This is 52 percent more than in 2018 midterm elections.
Hundreds of volunteers across northern Arizona are working double-duty, phoning and texting Democrats and Independents, and believe us when we say it will take every single one of these voters to swing Arizona.
With all that said, there is still so much work to do. We need more people to make phone calls and texts.
Results show that with the pandemic, reaching out personally to voters by phone is highly effective. Phone-bankers are speaking to many Independents who are disenfranchised with the Republican party and will vote blue in November. A call could change the mind of a voter.
Sign up to make calls today! Contact Derrick Honeyman at derrick.honeyman@2020victory.com.
So get active, because Democracy is not a spectator sport!
Be safe, be well and vote blue all the way down the ballot November 3.

A word about campaign signs
This election season has seen an unusual number of campaign sign thefts and vandalism. The Yavapai County Democratic Party condemns in the strongest terms the theft, moving, destruction or defacing of any political sign, for any party, issue or candidate.
We teach our members and volunteers that this kind of behavior is immature and counterproductive for our cause. It is a felony that our local law-enforcement agencies take seriously. We report every incident we see involving sign abuse to the local police agency or the Sheriff’s Department, and we encourage every citizen to do the same. We call on all politically active groups to join us in protecting our right to speak as citizens by providing clear and firm guidance to members about this, and to work actively to prevent sign-tampering.
Report campaign sign violations to:
