On Monday, Trump defended Kyle Rittenhouse, the Kenosha shooter, when asked at a press briefing if he’d condemn the action, going as far as to suggest that it appeared to him Rittehouse was acting in self defense.

The scenario is being called the “Red Mirage,” which suggests that while most in-person votes will come from Republicans and counted quicker, and the majority of Democrats will vote by mail, there will be a “mirage” of sorts as final votes may not be tallied until after Election Day.

U.S. intelligence ensnared in politics over election security briefings

Republican senators will be briefed, but not House Democrats according to new reports and lawmakers in both parties are concerned the move will block the ability to review intelligence reports following expert warnings of explicit foreign interference in the 2020 election.
