THE WEEK IN REVIEW
—
Sen. Cory Booker is Coming to [the Truman] Dinner!
Mark your calendars and reserve your sofa because our special guest U.S. Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey will give the Keynote Address for Truman Dinner and officially kick-off the fall election season.
We’re starting the day off with congressional district reorganization meetings all across the state, followed by a volunteer shift of phonebanking or textbanking, and then you can kick back for our VIP Q&A with a special guest, or join us for the main event with Cory Booker, Nicole Galloway, Jill Schupp, and more!
RSVP today and we’ll see you the night of Sept. 12th!
Trump’s True Legacy
In a special op-ed for the St. Louis American, our Chair and Officers wrote that Donald Trump’s real legacy will be his attacks on the Black community and his total failure to act in the face of COVID-19. Trump’s hateful, divisive rhetoric is a cheap attempt to distract from his complete and total abdication of leadership.
See the full op-ed in the St. Louis American here.
5 Weekdays, 5 Ways to Volunteer!
Join the House Democratic Campaign Committee for volunteer opportunities every single day of the week starting on Monday! The events below repeat weekly, so get to work!
- Monday: MO Monday Madness for Jean Pretto
- Tuesday: Healthy Kids Tuesdays with Cindy Berne
- Wednesday: Dolan’s Dialers for Rhonda Dolan
- Thursday: Healthcare Thursdays for Betsy Fogle and James Shackelford
- Friday: MO Jobs Friday for Colby Murphy and Bill Otto
- Saturday: Education Saturdays for Chris Hager and Art Schaaf
- Sunday: Columbia Takeover with Adrian Plank and Jacque Sample

Black Lives Matter Organizing Resources
There is so much work yet to be done, so we’ve compiled a list of resources to continue working toward racial justice. The items on this list are not the end of our to-do list, but they’re a good starting point. Please take a look and share with others.
Time is Running Out – Be Counted
Filling out your census is the single most important thing you can do to ensure fair representation for your community for the next decade. It takes only TWO minutes online or over the phone at https://my2020census.gov/. Remember, we lose or gain seats based on these numbers, so please check with your friends and family and share the link above!
