THE WEEK IN REVIEW
—
Get ready for the 2020 Truman Dinner!
Our annual Truman Dinner is going all-virtual this year! We will be making an announcement very soon about some national-level speakers who will be hanging out with us Missouri Democrats on Saturday evening, Sept. 12th.

Exciting National Convention Announcements Incoming!
We are so excited to make announcements very soon about MDP’s convention week events featuring some awesome national-level speakers. We’re finalizing everything and will have a jam-packed week of events geared toward delegates and our closest friends.
We could not be more excited about the folks who will be joining us – stay tuned.
We’ve Got an Official Toss-Up!
You kept your head down and your eyes on the prize – and now, it’s finally paying off! The non-partisan Cook Political Report just upgraded Jill Schupp’s race for the 2nd Congressional District yesterday and officially declared it as Toss-Up!
We’re going to add another new Congresswoman to our delegation in November. If you wanna pitch in and push back against the millions of dollars that National Republicans are throwing in to make sure Ann Wagner keeps this seat, now is the time. Grassroots dollars and grassroots organizing are going to win us this seat – chip in $5 if you can!
We passed Medicaid Expansion – it’s a BFD!
Thank you, Missouri Democrats! On Tuesday, you knocked it out of the park passing Medicaid expansion by 6 points and winning in places like St. Charles County and Greene County – areas Democrats have had their sights set on for years. Even in counties where we didn’t win a majority, rural voters stepped up and were integral to raising enough votes to pass this thing statewide. Thank you all!
Congratulations, Statewide Candidates!
We’ve got our A-Team lined up and ready to fight full-steam ahead into November. Congratulations to Nicole Galloway, Alissia Canady, Yinka Faleti, Rich Finneran, and Vicki Englund. Support the cause in the way we need it most – make a quick $5 contribution right now, so we get the boots on the ground in front of targeted voters in the targeted precincts that we need to win this thing.
Black Lives Matter Organizing Resources
There is so much work yet to be done, so we’ve compiled a list of resources to continue working toward racial justice. The items on this list are not the end of our to-do list, but they’re a good starting point. Please take a look and share with others.
We Need You to Be Counted.
Filling out your census is the single most important thing you can do to ensure fair representation for your community for the next decade. It takes only TWO minutes online or over the phone at https://my2020census.gov/. Remember, we lose or gain seats based on these numbers, so please check with your friends and family and share the link above!
