Upcoming (Virtual) Events – Special Friday Edition

Happy primary weekend, everyone!

As we all prepare to vote, we here at OCDP wanted to send out a few reminders. First, remember that you can vote “absentee” in person at your local clerk’s office and that all municipal clerks are required to be open for one full day of business this weekend. You can find the information about your clerk, including address and election weekend hours, at Michigan.gov/vote. Please also remember that you can only vote for one party on your primary ballot – voting for candidates from more than one party will spoil your ballot. Finally, due to delays in mail processing, if you already have your absentee ballot filled out but have not sent it in yet, the best way to make sure that your ballot is counted is to hand deliver it back to your clerk’s office. Many local clerks have convenient drop boxes just waiting for your ballot! Finally, if you have any questions about your absentee ballot, or if you notice any irregularities that you’d like to report, please call the MDP’s Voter Assistance Hotline at 1-833-MI-VOTES (1-833-648-6837).

Gary Peters for Senate Signs: We have Gary Peters signs! We will be at the office (555 Horace Brown Drive, Madison Heights) on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday next week (August 5-7) from 12-6pm. Contact staff@ocdp.org with any questions.
