CALL OF THE DAY: Tell Congress to Get to the Bottom of the Russian Operation to Target US Soldiers and To Issue a Public Comment.

Sen. Bill Cassidy – DC OFFICE: (202) 224-5824 and METAIRIE OFFICE: (504) 838-0130

Sen. John Kennedy: DC OFFICE: (202) 224-4623 and NEW ORLEANS OFFICE (504) 581-6190

Rep. Scalise: (202) 225-3015; Rep. Richmond: (202) 225-6636

From The Washington Post: “A Russian military spy unit offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants to attack coalition forces in Afghanistan, including U.S. and British troops… American intelligence has found.” British officials have confirmed the reports.

“The officials said administration leaders learned of reported bounties in recent months from U.S. intelligence agencies, prompting internal discussions, including a large interagency meeting in late March. “

Yet, Donald Trump has lobbied for Russia’s reentry into the G-7 and continues to make foreign policy decisions that seem to benefit Putin and Russia. He did nothing to protect US soldiers or stop Russia from offering bounties on our soldiers.

Donald Trump denied ever receiving a briefing on this issue. He denies the reports are true. The White House also denied thatTrump or VP Pence were briefed on the Russian Operation.

Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden said: “The truly shocking revelation that if the Times report is true, and I emphasise that again, is that President Trump, the commander-in-chief of American troops serving in a dangerous theatre of war, has known about this for months, according to the Times, and done worse than nothing.”
