Action #1: Remind our legislators who we are. Join a rally in an area near you. Scheduled for Dec. 17th, in over 538 locations across the nation.
WHAT: Congressional leaders have set a vote on articles of impeachment against the president of the United States. All available resources indicate it will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18th. The evening before that vote is held, Tues, Dec. 17th, we will take to the streets with thousands of people nationwide who’ve pledged to peacefully protest in over 538 separate events. (It was just 400 on Friday!) We demand that Congress Impeach & Remove to show that Donald Trump is not above the law!
WHO: The news has focused on the waverers and wobblers amongst Democratic legislators and the disgraceful denials of evidence amongst the GOP. Time to show them what Americans who love this country and democracy more than any one president really think.
HOW: If you can get to the Ventura County Government Center, sign in here or here so we can keep you updated you on the latest information. If you live too far away to join us, go to impeach.org, enter your zip code, and find the nearest rally.
WHERE: Here’s the information for Ventura:

800 S. Victoria Avenue, on the corner of Victoria and Telephone Road.
- TIME: 5:30 pm local time -7:30 pm

BRING: Please dress warmly and bring American flags, impeachment flags, flashlights, LED or other “safe” candles and signs, and water. We’ll have a voter registration table, and christmas cookies. Please bring some to share if you have them!
WHY: Do this because you care what’s happening to this country and know that your presence, along with that of your neighbors, makes a difference. Please mark your calendar, plan to be there, and invite your friends. Together, we can make a difference and demand that the Senate take action to hold this lawless president to account and restore the rule of law.
See you on the sidewalk!
Last note – please read!: Events will be visible, family-friendly, public gatherings to demonstrate to our lawmakers that their constituents are behind them to defend the Constitution—and that Trump has left them no alternative to uphold their oath of office but to support impeachment and removal. Therefore, by choosing to attend this event, you are committing to participate nonviolently, both verbally and physically, and in accordance with the law, to work to de-escalate confrontations with others, and to obey the orders of authorized event marshals and of law enforcement. You also acknowledge that you are solely responsible for any injury or damage to your person or property resulting from or occurring during this event and that you release all event sponsors and organizers (and their officers, directors, employees, and agents) from any liability for that injury or damage.
