Donations Needed for Ventura’s New Homeless Shelter! You may have some of this stuff in your garage!

Ventura’s new year-round shelter, The Arch: All Roads Connect To Housing, opens on 1/9/20 and will make a huge impact in the lives of those experiencing homelessness in Ventura.

Below is a list of items that would be very helpful if they were donated. Please donate by the end of 2019. ‘Tis the Season!

If you can assist, please contact Meredith Hart (mhart@cityof ventura.ca.gov). In addition, please feel free to pass this on to any group, faith community, service club, or individual who could assist with the suggested donations.

  • CLOTHES *New Please
    – Socks
    – Underwear
    – Sweatpants
    – Sweatshirt
    – Shirts
  • FOOD & SNACKS
    – Cup o Noodle
    – chicken and beef
    – Cookies
    – Chewy granola bars
    – Coffee
    – Creamer (powdered, different flavors)
    – Sugar
    – Tea Bags
    – Lemonade
    – Individual chip/snack bagsIndividually wrapped
    – Peanut Butter/Cheese crackers
    – Raisins/dried fruit
    – Oatmeal
    – Applesauce
  • TOILETRY KIT
    – Shampoo
    – Conditioner
    – Soap
    – Toothbrush
    – Toothpaste
    – Deodorant
    – Lotion
    – Adult Diapers
    – Maxi Pads
    – Tampons
    – Hairbrush
  • LARGER ITEMS
    – 2 TV’s with Wall Mounts
    – 2 Charging station plug strips
    – 6 Laptop computer
    – 2 Large drink cooler
    – 2 Coffee Urns
    – 2 Microwave
    – 10 Kitchen serving utensils
    – 10 Ocean Themed Art
    – 110 Bath Towels
    – 55 Beds-Monetary donation of $500 per bed
    – 10 Large Trash Cans– Books

All monetary donations are to be made to “Mercy House” with Ventura Shelter in the memo line. Please coordinate with Meredith Hart mhart@cityofventura.ca.gov or Anabel anabelg@mercyhouse.net for physical donations.
