Our Fight For Our Future Election Kick-Off had a standing room only crowd of more than 260 volunteers!

As former Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs told the crowd: “This democracy only lives once and it lives in the work we do.” And our volunteers are ready to do the work! Check below and on the Indivisible Yolo website for volunteer opportunities so you can have an impact on this election. Thank you for your enthusiasm and for such a successful rally- and hope to see you at one of our many volunteer events!

Phone Banks 3 times a week!

Every Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 5-7 PM!

On Tuesday join us for Tuesdays for Arizona, calling voters in Arizona to support the Arizona for Abortion Access Act, the state constitutional amendment to protect the right to abortion in Arizona. When reproductive freedom is on the ballot it helps drive our voter turnout. That may prove critical to winning Arizona’s Electoral College votes in this important swing state! Harris has closed the gap but will need every vote we can turn out.

When we work the phones from California to help get out the vote, organizers and volunteers in Arizona are freed up to knock doors and talk to their neighbors. That’s why we will be calling into Arizona every Tuesday evening from now until the election to help Arizonans secure the right to abortion in their state constitution. This is easy, rewarding, low tech phone banking. You will need both your computer (or tablet) and your cell phone.

On Wednesday, together with Sister District Yolo, join us for Wednesdays for the White House, calling voters for the Harris-Walz campaign. Our job: converting those positive vibes to volunteers and votes! This calling will be using the user-friendly Scale to Win autodialer that many of you have already been using this year. You only need your computer (or tablet), but the system works best if you also use your cell phone.

On Thursday, together with Indivisible Sacramento, we will continue Thursdays for California, calling voters in the six California congressional districts that represent the battleground for control of the House. This phone bank also uses the Scale to Win autodialer. You need only your computer (or tablet), but the system works best if you also use your cell phone.

If weekdays 5-7pm are not ideal for your schedule, come to a phone bank to get trained, and you’ll be able to call on your own when it’s convenient for you. If you can’t make it to one of these phone banks, but want to get trained to call on your own, send a note to indivisibleyolo@gmail.com. We’ll find a way to get you calling!

Central Valley College Campus voter registration drives

Join Indivisible Yolo and the Bay Area Coalition in Central Valley college campus voter registration drives!

The Grassroots Collaboration Project lists voter registration as the single activity generating the most Democratic votes per hour of volunteer time. Our success in flipping the House of Representatives depends on a few battleground districts including our target district CA-13 where we will be visiting campuses to register students to vote. Registering Democrats is key to winning CA-13, and we are limited only by the number of volunteers who show up to register students to vote, and the volunteers who step up to lead an event. Campus voter registration drives are fun events with a group of like-minded people.

All information you need to lead a drive can be found here: Voter Registration, in a box!

Use this form to sign up to lead a drive: Campus Voter R_SignUp.

If you want to join a campus voter registration drive as a participant, sign up here:

“Sí, se puede” – Central Valley Matters Fundraiser September 5 @ 5:30pm

On September 5 at 5:30 PDT, Central Valley Matters will have the last fundraiser before the November election. If you haven’t already done so, please register for this online event featuring Dolores Huerta and Julián Castro. They will inspire and guide us as we raise $100,000 to fuel the funding gap for CVM’s excellent grassroots organizations.

These organizations support civic education and engagement in CD 22, one of the 6 districts that Indivisible Yolo, along with many other progressive organizations, is working to flip blue. A donation of $100 pays for 4 hours of canvassing and $500 pays for 20 hours of canvassing.
