GET VOTER ID HELP FROM VOTERIDERS
Since 2012, VoteRiders has been monitoring voter ID laws and helping citizens understand what documents they need to be able to cast their ballots. Let’s check our state’s voter ID requirements here, and if we need help getting the IDs we need to vote, VoteRiders will help us, free-of-charge. We can ask for help here.
BE A POLL WORKER:
Poll workers are essential in making sure that our elections run smoothly, and we need all the help we can get to keep these positions filled in every precinct across the country. Thursday, August 1st was National Poll Worker Recruitment Day, where we help spread the word about the importance of poll workers, and encourage anyone who is able to become a poll worker. While August 1st has passed, let’s continue to do what we can to recruit poll workers in our communities. Let’s read through the Power to the Polls Poll Worker FAQs, check out the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s social media and community outreach toolkit, then sign up to become a poll worker for the upcoming election!

Whether it’s writing postcards, making phone calls, texting voters, or knocking on doors, Mobilize is a great resource for helping us get involved right where we live. We can use their filter function to sort opportunities by zip code, and we can subscribe to stay informed. Let’s check out Mobilize and get to work!

LEARN HOW TO HOST A WOMEN-FOR-HARRIS HOUSE PARTY“ More Americans trust their friends and families to provide accurate information about elections than trust poll results, the news media, social media, and political campaigns.” That’s why Women for Harris-Walz, an arm of the Harris-Walz campaign, is encouraging us to host a brunch or house party to engage the people we know in learning why it is so important to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz this November.
